… they violated “..an arcane international treaty…” involving “paperwork” associated with the sale of flowers.
They import flowers, perfectly legal flowers. The SWAT Team was from the US Fish and Wildlife Service. They trashed the couple’s house and hauled them off.
Did you know that game wardens had SWAT Teams? I didn’t. They have apparently come a long way since the old guy from Mass. Fish & Game would come along and check my fishing license… at the toxic waste canal in Attleboro, Mass where there were no fish but lots of kids drowning worms.

The elderly man receiving that vocational advice from hizzoner is a diabetic with coronary complications, arthritis and Parkinson’s disease and the judge was sending to do time in a federal penitentiary, and whose only “crime” was paperwork associated with an obscure international treaty must have really appreciated that.
