According to the Obama Administration’s BP Slush Fund Czar Kenneth Feinberg every loss caused by the BP Gulf blow out will be paid… no matter to whom, where or why the loss was incurred… up to and including distant restaurants who lose business because of the rise in price of seafood, unless some quirk of the law in a particular state should disallow such a claim (video of Feinberg on the NBC Today Show making that statement… click here.)
When you view the video you will also hear him say that we should “...all file a claim…” because specific criteria for valid claims has not yet been set. By way of translation please allow me to quote the great scholar Mel Brooks as French King Louis XVI in History of the World Part I …. “GANG BANG!”
I have filed my claim. Be creative in the wording but do not lie. Eventually there will emerge statistics breaking down the loses to the average American – that is you and me – and that number will come from the government. They will hardly be in a position to dispute their own evidence against themselves.

NO DOCUMENTATION IS REQUIRED TO FILE THE CLAIM so be as vague as you can in your claim. I used the standard ”loss through increased costs in fuel, electric, food, transportation”, etc…. the same kind of catch all, non-specific language that entire armies of attorneys are using to keep all their options to grab for more open. In this event it is simply to leave you room to enter whatever damage number that the administration tells us we suffered in damage. When the process of your claim reaches the point where documentation may be requested the official, government determined number will be the one I enter as the sum being sought (unless I can cobble together my own numbers and back them up with data from the variety of government agencies that will all be gathering and publishing more specific data).
No, you are not piling it on to BP. No, you are not stealing anything that you do not deserve. No, you are not depriving some shrimp fisherman from benefits. You are claiming, legitimately, that which Barack Hussein Obama says you are entitled. You are only recouping some of your own money that the Obama regime is stealing from you to redistribute.

According to the Obama Administration a restaurant in Boston that loses business because Gulf Shrimp is not available or is too expensive has a valid claim (that is the example that they use). Eventually numbers will come out showing the average cost to the average American Citizen, I plan to claim every penny due to me according to the Obama Administration’s own figures.
In short the criteria for a claim are whatever the Obama Regime says they are at any given moment.

Does that mean that if you lose your job that you will not file a claim? That if you are due a tax refund that you will not take it? WRONG. You are filing a FALSE CLAIM. BP is setting up an escrow to pay legitimate loss of income claims. If you fill out a false claim you could be committing a FELONY.
I don’t know who “MarkTalk” is but this advice is moronic and not based in fact.
“MarkTalk” wants you to act like a welfare baby and claim money that isn’t yours. And it isn’t taxpayer money either- it’s taking money directly out of the pockets of the BP shareholders (a LOT of normal people, school systems, pension plans etc).

The regime has already stated that the stolen money is fair game for everybody who can show a loss. As soon as the regime tells me what my loss is, that is the number I will insert into my claim.

The money is NOT ‘socialistic income redistribution’, it’s not coming from taxes/fees. It’s coming from British Petroleum (BP), as payment from them to claimants for real damages caused by their malfeasance. Has nothing to do with form of government.
Actually it is not. It is money extorted from BP by Obama, who stood there with his chief enforcer and threatened BP with criminal action unless they ponied up. Your damages and mine will come from the destruction of America’s domestic energy industry and the continued nationalization of the private sector, all of which kills off opportunity and raises costs.
BP inflicts the most severe (corporate) man-made environmental catastrophe on the Gulf and American citizens from Texas through Florida, wiping out decades-old private companies, yet seen due to their greed-inspired negligence and incompetence, and you call damage reparations extortion? Do you understand the meaning of escrow Mark? The Federal Government did not extort money from BP because it has not taken the money. It has simply asked, and BP has agreed that 20 billion of cash reserves be set aside. If by some chance the damage caused by this disaster is under 20 billion, BP will get their money back. The escrow is necessary to prevent BP from distributing this money to shareholders or otherwise into entities where it will be difficult for tort claimants to recover. This is a totally fair and legitimate exercise of federal power–protecting the interest of the people harmed to get their day in court.
You have to be one of the most severely afflicted ‘Obama Derangement Syndrome’ stalwarts in print – not one element of evidence-based logic in your argument or responses. What qualifies, under law (of any country), recompense for damages as ‘extortion’?
As a general rule there is a claim, a determination and a ruling all of which involve more than one Erkel trying to act street, but process aside…. If Obama says that I am entitled then why is it wrong to file a claim as instructed?
