Here is an update on Bernie Ward, from the Chron.  And, no, I have not called any of my friends inside to learn more… I would never put them in that position, but from the tone of the article to which I linked it smells like Bernie may be on a railroad ride.  A personal vendetta against the moon bat talker?   I do not know the guy personally but cannot stomach his politics, and he strikes me as a dimwitted, emotional-driven fool as opposed to a normal human, but if this is a set up it is just plain wrong.  I don’t care what the guy’s politics are at that point.
